postheadericon First Time In A Fashion Show

Being in a fashion show has always been my dream and eventually that day came some weeks ago. I was just reading the usual gossip into my Facebook page, when a came across a competition which was ran by a model agency. All I had to do was to like their competition page and tweet about it.

Then what a surprise! A couple of days later I found a message on my wall notifying me that I had won two tickets to attend a fashion show in London! Without even thinking about it a called a good friend of mine who’s a fashionista and we both were extremely happy we would spend together that night into an event we were always dreaming of.

The day of the event we were both rather nervous as we had never attended before such an event and we were uncertain about our outfits and overall appearance. Should we dress in a rather provocative way or should we dress up in a more classy and chic way? Our biggest fear was to be photographed and appear in one of those fashion blogs.

Worst than we could have ever imagined our tickets were within the VIP area – and guess what… we had to sit in the very first row! It’s hard to describe how nervous and frustrated we were feeling but we pretended we were cool about the whole thing. The looks we got getting to our sits cannot be described and some photographers even made shots of us as we were going to take a sit.

When finally the show started we felt like the sky was going to fall on us! All those female models were looking like Gods and Goddesses that were giving their best performance just one meter away from us. The cameras were flashing every 1-second and the whole event was a truly unforgettable experience. After the event, were invited to a bar where we had the chance to meet some of the models and chat with some stylists, make-up artists and some scouters. It was all truly amazing and everyone treated us in a very friendly way!

The following day we visited the agency’s blog, and came across of the photos from the event. Luckily, we weren’t anywhere to be found apart from the background of the catwalk’s photos. The models definitely deserved more attention than us as they worked hard during that night.

postheadericon Mannequins Display Clothing Attractive And Profitable While Connecting With Customers

The use of mannequins to display their wares and promote their business is a significant strategy of profitable sales if done correctly. Most people are not puppets immediately associated with the concept of profit, which is exactly why the use of these versatile screens gives you an advantage as large as a small business, store manager or sales manager.

Most small businesses underestimate the benefits of these proven tools for marketing. Like many shop owners or managers know that they are skilled in the art and science of effective product display, also known as visual merchandising?

It is no secret that retail is largely a presentation of the game. Is the equivalent of retail customers to invite home for dinner, only to report on arrival that has not really prepared meals, but only wanted his presence. First, it is important to understand the role played by the mannequins in a shop. They are, in essence, a spokesman for his company. And since they are often visible in the windows or the front of the store are usually the first points of customer identification to your store. In a sense, represent your store. As the cover girl models represent the brand, which is if the models are of your store. Like Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan are mainly the image of Nike, that if their models represent the image of your company, trade shows or promotional events.

Now it may seem ridiculous to compare popular models spokesman, but in a small retail businesses, which are celebrities.

While models are the first figures of the man that consumers associate with your business, then it makes sense psychologically to see models that look like your average customers. Why?

I’m not saying you made wax figures of their loyal customers. For example, if your clientele is composed largely of Hispanics and his store is located in a part of the city where Hispanics are relatively large, then you probably do not want to have 20 top model mannequins with towering Caucasus blonde hair and blue eyes showing through his shop.

As a small business in retail, you have the luxury of being able to do since you can appeal to customers more focused, unlike, for example, a department store to be appealing to the masses. Ultimately, the choice of models should also take into account the type of merchandise sold and the purpose of your business.
